INTRODUCTION
Direct2Farms (“we”, “us”, “our”) is an online marketplace that connects buyers with independent farmers and producers. We do not sell food, handle food, package products, deliver orders, or control the quality of any goods listed on the platform. All purchases are private agreements between the buyer and the farmer (“seller”).
By using Direct2Farms, you agree to these Terms.
OUR ROLE
- We provide the online platform only.
- We are not the seller of any products.
- We do not guarantee freshness, quality, safety, accuracy, or availability of listed items.
- We do not supervise farmers, their production, hygiene standards, or delivery methods.
- All product descriptions, prices, and images are provided by the farmers.
YOUR CONTRACT
When you place an order on Direct2Farms, your contract is directly with the farmer who listed the item. Direct2Farms is not a party to the sale.
ORDER PROCESS
- Farmers are responsible for confirming, preparing, and fulfilling orders.
- Farmers may accept or reject orders at their discretion.
- Delivery and collection arrangements are set by the farmer.
PAYMENTS
- Payments are processed securely by Stripe.
- Farmers receive payouts via Stripe Connect.
- Stripe’s processing fee is deducted from the farmer’s earnings.
- Direct2Farms collects a 5% platform fee, paid by the buyer at checkout.
- We do not store or handle your payment information.
REFUNDS, RETURNS & DISPUTES
- Refunds and returns must be resolved directly between the buyer and the farmer.
- Direct2Farms does not issue refunds on behalf of farmers.
- Any disputes about quality, missing items, allergens, delays, or delivery issues must be handled directly between buyer and farmer.
FOOD SAFETY & ALLERGENS
- Farmers are solely responsible for ensuring their products comply with all UK food safety regulations.
- Farmers must accurately display allergen information.
- Direct2Farms accepts no liability for incorrect or missing allergen information or food safety issues.
BUYER RESPONSIBILITIES
You agree to:
- Check allergen information before purchasing.
- Inspect goods upon delivery or collection.
- Communicate directly with farmers regarding any issues.
- Only use the platform for lawful purposes.
FARMER RESPONSIBILITIES
Farmers agree to:
- Provide accurate descriptions, prices, and images.
- Comply with UK food standards and hygiene laws.
- Handle deliveries and collections safely.
- Resolve customer issues directly.
- Set their own delivery fees and policies.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Direct2Farms is not liable for:
- Illness, injury, or allergic reactions caused by food.
- Incorrect product descriptions.
- Late or failed deliveries.
- Spoiled or damaged goods.
- Misconduct or negligence by farmers.
- Loss of profits, revenue, or data.
- Any claim arising from the buyer/farmer contract.
We provide the platform “as is” without guarantees.
ACCOUNT USE
We may suspend or terminate accounts for misuse, fraud, illegal activity, or behaviour that harms farmers, customers, or the platform.
CHANGES TO TERMS
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the platform means you accept the updated Terms.
